The Texas Rangers led 1-0 just one pitch into the game when Shin-Soo Choo hit a leadoff home run. After the Giants tied it 1-1, a Joey Gallo double plated Rougned Odor to make it 2-1 and it looked like the late innings offensive outburst from Wednesday would carry over in Texas’ first road trip of the season.
Instead, the Rangers went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position (the hit didn’t even score a run), had six total hits, left ten on base, didn’t score again for the rest of the night, and saw their second lead eventually become a 9-2 loss.
