The Texas Rangers scored one run and the San Francisco Giants scored three runs.
We were forced to suffer through some obsolete NL-style baseball tonight and, though Texas played it close in what developed into a pitchers’ duel, just the mere thought of all of that antediluvian strategy involved was enough to douse the Rangers’ usual late-inning rally magic with cold McCovey Cove H20.
With no welcoming for the Win Column tonight, we’ll just have to settle for the knowledge that the patrons of the Senior Circuit have to try to enjoy the sport this way every night making us the clear winners in the long run.
