The Texas Rangers scored five runs while the Seattle Mariners scored one run.
The Rangers scored three runs in the fourth inning of the second game of their series against Oakland back on April 10 and then didn’t score another run at home spanning two weeks. Of course, they were on the road for all but two of that of that but the string of zeros included two consecutive shutouts at The Shed and three more empty frames to begin tonight’s game.
It wasn’t until Adolis Garcia launched one that just scraped over Julio Rodriguez’s glove in center field that Texas finally scored a run in front of the home crowd after 25 scoreless innings.
