I am tired of the Texas Rangers making me feel overly negative about baseball so I will say something nice: Despite allowing a grand slam in four consecutive games — a dubious MLB record! — the Rangers didn’t back down last night in San Diego and in fact rallied several times only to lose because Rob Manfred doesn’t like baseball and has decreed that endings be fabricated.
Tonight, despite starter Kolby Allard giving up four runs before getting the boot before the first frame concluded against a putrid Seattle Mariners team, the Rangers still fought.
