It only took until the fifth inning for the Rangers to realize which one of the Twins was the evil one and finally slay him. Down 2-0, Texas scored twice on a Rougie Odor two-out, two-RBI single in what felt like the first RBI single for Texas in weeks.
In a tied game against a team that these Rangers never seem to beat, Texas put four runs on the board in the bottom of the sixth on a bases loaded wild pitch, two-RBI single by Elvis Andrus, and a passed ball.
Rangers' starter Cole Hamels tossed 6 2/3 innings of veteran grind-it-out pitching and was happy to have the run support as he had trouble getting swings and misses and left with a couple on in the top of the seventh.
