Texas Rangers left-handed starter Matt Harrison is making progress in his recovery from back surgery and is now able to play catch as he rehabilitates from injury.
According to ESPN Dallas' Calvin Watkins, "GM Jon Daniels said Harrison is on target in his rehab and has received good reports from the medical staff regarding his recovery. Harrison was once one of the more durable pitchers for the Rangers, having started 62 games during a two-year span."

Harrison has undergone three separate surgical procedures in his attempt to fully return to the game, so being able to play catch is a good sign when it comes to his rehab process. He started four games for the team in 2014 before spinal fusion surgery on two disks in his lower back sidelined him for the year.
In total, the 29-year-old has been limited to just six starts over the past two seasons due to injury.
