ATHENS, Ga. – Texas Women's Swimming and Diving is in fifth place at the NCAA Championships following Wednesday's opening night of the four-day meet at the Gabrielson Natatorium. Texas collected two top-seven relay results on the first day of competition, placing sixth in the 200 medley relay and seventh in the 800 free relay.
The quartet of Emma Kern, Anna Elendt, Emma Sticklen and Grace Cooper opened the championships with a sixth-place finish in the 200 medley relay, combining for a swim of 1:34.74 that marked the 10th-best performance in program history.
