The UT Tower will be drenched in Burnt Orange lighting on Thursday evening (April 18) in recognition of The University of Texas women's golf team's third consecutive Big 12 Championship, captured on Tuesday in Broken Arrow, Okla.
The Longhorns won the Big 12 Conference Championship by a record 37 strokes after totaling a 13-over-par three-round total of 877 [287-297-293]. Sophomore Agathe Laisne won the Big 12 individual championship and Texas became the first team in Big 12 Championship history to finish with the top-four golfers in the individual standings.
Per UT tradition, the UT Tower is bathed in Burnt Orange lighting from top-to-bottom when a University of Texas athletics team wins a conference championship.
