GREENVILLE, S.C. – Texas Women's Golf fired a third-round 286 to win the Lady Paladin, led by freshman Emilee Hoffman's medalist honors on Sunday at Furman University Golf Course.
The Longhorns' victory marks the first under Head Coach Ryan Murphy and the first since 2011, when the squad won the Betsy Rawls Invitational.
Hoffman's medalist honors mark the first time a Texas player has won an event since Bertine Strauss won the PING/ASU Invitational in spring of 2015.
Hoffman carded a third-round 70, following a record-breaking 65 on the first day and a 73 on day two to finish 6-under par.
