PORTLAND, Ore. — The No. 1 seed Texas women's basketball team had their season come to an end in the Elite Eight as they fell 76-66 against NC State on Sunday at the Moda Center.
Texas finished the season with a 33-5 overall record. The 33 wins are the most since they went 34-0 and won the national championship in the 1985-86 season. Texas had advanced to the Elite Eight for the third time in the last four seasons.
Freshman Madison Booker led Texas with 17 points, six rebound and five assists. Booker set a new program record for assists by a freshman with a total of 185 for the season.
