AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas women's basketball sophomore Madison Booker was named the SEC Player of the Week and Associated Press National Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Booker average 20 points per game for the week in helping Texas to victories over No. 24 Vanderbilt and No. 2 South Carolina.
Before a Texas crowd of 10,517, Booker notched her fifth double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds to lift the Longhorns to a 66-62 victory over South Carolina, which broke the Gamecocks 57-game SEC winning streak.
