AUSTIN, Texas — Texas women's basketball's Madison Booker was named a third team All-American by both Sporting News and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association on Tuesday.
Booker became the first freshman in the history of Big 12 women's basketball to be named the Big 12 Player of the Year. Booker was also selected by the conference head coaches as the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and a unanimous selection to the All-Big 12 First Team.
In the recent Big 12 Championship, Booker led Texas to the conference title and was named the tournament Most Outstanding Player.
