AUSTIN, Texas – On Sunday afternoon at the Frank Erwin Center, junior forward/center Charli Collier registered the fourth-highest scoring game (44 points) in Texas women's basketball history to help power the Longhorns (2-0) to a commanding 106-69 win over North Texas (1-1).
Collier's 44 points were a new career-high and came as part of a 14-for-17 (career-high FG's made) effort from the field that included a 2-for-2 mark from the three-point stripe and a 14-for-15 performance (career-high FT's made) from the free throw line. The Mont Belvieu, Texas, native also added 16 rebounds to complete both her 18th career double-double and second consecutive double-double to open the campaign.
