LEXINGTON, Ky. – Good things happen in Lexington.
That was the theme of many of Jody Conradt's phone calls and text messages on Sunday afternoon following Texas' 84-80 win against N.C. State in the NCAA Second Round at the Frank Erwin Center.
That win advanced the Longhorns to the NCAA Lexington Regional at Rupp Arena. It is the first trip for the Texas team to the city of Lexington since the program won the 1986 NCAA Championship in the same venue, becoming the first team in NCAA women's basketball history to complete a perfect season (34-0).
