WACO, Texas – Texas mounted comeback efforts in each of the last three quarters, but No. 2/2 Baylor defeated the Longhorns, 69-53, on Thursday night in a Big 12 Conference game at the Ferrell Center.
Audrey Warren scored ten points to lead Texas (18-11, 10-7). Charli Collier snagged eight rebounds. Te'a Cooper scored 20 to lead Baylor (28-1, 17-0).
Baylor shot 63 percent in the first quarter to take a 24-10 lead. The Lady Bears had 14 points in the paint and scored nine of their points off of seven UT turnovers in the initial period.
