AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Women's Basketball team broke open a close game with a dominating third-quarter run, defeating UTSA, 84-53, on Thursday night at the Frank Erwin Center.
Texas (1-1) was led by Charlie Collier, who scored 28 points and got 12 rebounds. Joyner Holmes also achieved a double-double, scoring 17 points and hauling in 10 boards. LaShann Higgs scored 11.
Mikalya Woods scored 15 points for UTSA (2-1).
With the score tied at 4-4 after five minutes of play, the Roadrunners went on a 11-2 run to achieve an early nine-point lead.
