AUSTIN, Texas – Three Longhorns scored in double-figures to lead second-seeded Texas Women's Basketball past the Maine Black Bears on Saturday night in the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's First Round at the Erwin Center, 83-54. UT led by as many as 35 in the second half.
Junior forward Jatarie White paced the Longhorns with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting in 20 minutes. Senior guard Ariel Atkins contributed 16 points, four assists, and two steals while junior guard Lashann Higgs poured in 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting, dishing out four assists in 23 minutes.
