AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Women's Basketball team completed its season sweep of Kansas State with a 59-48 win on Sunday at the Frank Erwin Center. The win pushes Texas' record to 15-6 overall and 9-5 in Big 12 play.
Texas struggled in the early goings, but found its footing in the second quarter. Trailing 19-8, the Longhorns jumped on an 8-0 run that cut the deficit to just three points and forced K-State to take a timeout. The teams went back and forth from there for the next couple of minutes before UT held the Wildcats scoreless over the final 3:51 of the frame.
