KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Texas Women's Basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Phillips 66 Bi 12 Championship on Friday behind an 84-82 overtime victory over Iowa State. The win pushed the Longhorns' record to 18-8 and was their third win over the Cyclones this season.
Kyra Lambert and Joanne Allen-Taylor led the way for Texas, with the backcourt duo combining for 43 points. Lambert stuffed the stat sheet, tallying a career-high 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists and two steals while committing no turnovers. Meanwhile, Allen-Taylor chipped in with 20 points, a career-high nine assists and two rebounds.
