AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas has won the Capital One Cup for Women's Athletics for the recently completed 2023-24 season. This marks the third consecutive year that the Longhorns have claimed the title in the Women's Cup standings, as Texas also captured the Cup in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
This year's announcement was made during the ESPYS presented by Capital One on Thursday evening. As in previous years, Capital One will be donating $250,000 to The University of Texas Student Athlete Scholarship Fund in addition to receiving the Capital One Cup trophy.
During the 2023-24 season, Texas earned 156 total points to narrowly defeat runner-up Stanford (155) in the Women's Cup standings.
