A chaotic day in the SEC on Saturday did have some major benefits as the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ole Miss Rebels, and Texas A&M Aggies all lost and simplified the potential complex tiebreaker process to determine which two teams will face off in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta next month.
Finished with conference play heading into the Thanksgiving weekend, No. 10 Georgia clinched its spot in the SEC title game for a fourth straight season thanks to A&M’s four-overtime loss to Auburn.
The Aggies still have a chance to reach Atlanta if they can beat the Longhorns on Saturday in College Station thanks to the tiebreaker process.
