TOKYO –Texas Track & Field All-American Stacey Ann Williams earned a bronze medal on Saturday as the Team Jamaica 4x400m relay placed third in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics at Olympic Stadium.
Williams did not compete in the final but will receive a bronze medal along with her teammates for running in Jamaica's preliminary heat on Thursday.
In the final, Jamaica grabbed the bronze after starting the f lap in fourth and overtaking Canada in the final 100m, finishing in 3:21.24. The United States led from the start, taking gold with a time of 3:16.
