FRISCO -- Late last week, Texas junior receiver and Southlake Carroll product Lil' Jordan Humphrey tweeted a poem he wrote for a class that expresses his opinions about race relations in America.
Or lack of those relations, in Humphrey's view.
Humphrey's poem drew national attention, particularly the passage in which he referred to the election of Donald Trump as president "to restore the long legacy of white supremacy."
Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte, attending Big 12 media days at the Ford Center on Tuesday, told a handful of inquiring reporters that he was proud of Humphrey for honestly expressing himself.
