AUSTIN - Tom Herman says he's experienced two "whoa" moments since moving into the head football coach's office at Texas on Nov. 26.
The first came when Longhorn luminaries like Edith Royal and DeLoss Dodds dotted the crowd for his introductory press conference. Then he was asked to autograph a print of recent Texas head coaches, joining the signatures of Darrell Royal, Mack Brown and others.
He might have added a third inevitable signature event - the first adverse reception to one of his moves. The social media reactions of fans ranged from skepticism to disbelief after the hire of Tim Beck as Texas' new offensive coordinator and quarterback coach.
