AUSTIN - Before Texas players could really, truly focus on Georgia in the Allstate Sugar Bowl, they had to forget the Big 12 title game.
A painful 39-27 loss to Oklahoma carried an unusually long shelf life.
“I think a lot of us are still thinking about it, even though we’ve moved past it,” senior linebacker Gary Johnson said Monday. “A lot of people and a lot of seniors felt bad after the game. There’s nothing we can do about it now. There’s still the thought in the back of our heads.
“At this point, as each day goes by, we’re getting more and more locked in on Georgia.
