The Texas football program has a long and storied history that features four legitimate national titles. The most recent of those four championships for the Texas Longhorns football program came in 2005-06, when head coach Mack Brown saw his squad knock off the vaunted USC Trojans and head coach Pete Carroll in the Rose Bowl Game.
However, ESPN dropped its ‘150 Greatest Teams in College Football’s 150-Year History’ and that 2005-06 Longhorns team had to be included on the list. College football fans didn’t have to scroll down the list too far to find that 2005-06 Texas team that featured highlighting talent such as the polarizing quarterback Vince Young and elusive running back Jamaal Charles.
