The former Texas quarterback declared for the NFL soon after his legendary Rose Bowl performance and was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the third pick in the 2006 draft. He spent five seasons with the franchise before moving on to join the Philadelphia Eagles as a backup in the 2011 season.
Young tried to make a comeback to football on multiple occasions, which most recently included a short stint with the CFL's Saskatchewan Roughriders.
He remains close to the University of Texas, and recently discussed the 2006 National Championship with the media.
