In recent weeks there have been significant changes to the 2020 college football schedule due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, with major FBS conferences opting for conference-only slates and at least one FBS program (Connecticut) sitting out the 2020 season altogether.
The pandemic — which as of this writing has resulted in the deaths of over 160,000 people in the U.S. known to have contracted it, with nearly 8,000 of those deaths being Texas residents — is understandably having a significant effect on the 2020 high school football season, and most states have announced delays for the start of their season.
