In the infamous words of Gus Johnson, “Dicker The Kicker.”
It certainly seemed as if the Texas Longhorns were on the cusp of suffering yet another embarrassing loss to the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday night.
Then Cameron Dicker happened.
After Kansas converted on a two-point conversion to capture the lead from the Longhorns, 48-47, with 1:11 to play, all Texas needed to survive with a win was a field goal.
Sam Ehlinger and the Texas offense marched 60 yards and 10 plays, and with five seconds remaining, Dicker took care of the rest, connecting on a 33-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Longhorns to a 50-48 win and a 5-2 mark on the season.
