HONOLULU, Hawaii – Texas Football's senior offensive lineman Patrick Vahe has been named to the 2018 watch list for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced on Thursday morning.
Vahe, a native of Euless, Texas, has played in 34 career games and made 31 starts. He was named honorable mention All-Big 12 in 2017 after being named a Freshman All-American in 2015. Vahe started 12 games in 2017, helping the Longhorns to a 7-6 record and a victory in the Texas Bowl over Missouri. As a sophomore in 2016, he played in 12 games with nine starts, helping block for Doak Walker Award winner D'Onta Foreman.
