AUSTIN — Texas point guard Isaiah Taylor will declare himself eligible for this summer’s NBA draft, but will refrain from hiring an agent in order to preserve his college eligibility, a Longhorns official confirmed Thursday.
Taylor, who averaged 14.8 points and 4.8 assists per game as a junior last season, has not been projected as a likely first-round pick, but is hoping to improve his stock over the next month.
