DALLAS — Texas survived another day at its NCAA baseball regional without having to play a game.
The Longhorns’ elimination contest against host Dallas Baptist was postponed due to unplayable conditions Saturday at rain-soaked Horner Ballpark. Third-seeded UT will play the top-seeded Patriots at noon on Sunday, with a winners’ bracket game featuring second-seeded Oregon State and fourth-seeded Virginia Commonwealth set for 4 p.m.
The winner of the first game will play the loser of the second game at 8 p.m.
UT, which dropped the regional opener to Oregon State on Friday, needs to win four consecutive games to advance to the super regional round.
