AUSTIN –Texas wide receivers coach Drew Mehringer isn’t a Lilliputian.
The former Rice quarterback was listed at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds during his playing days, which were abruptly cut short in 2006 after a third meniscus tear took the last of his knee’s cartilage.
That’s a bit shorter than the “prototypical” NFL quarterback, but still places him right around the 89th percentile among American males.
Then there’s UT receiver Collin Johnson.
The 6-6, 220-pound sophomore possesses size Mehringer could only dream about.
“If I was that big I would try and manhandle every human in my way,” the coach said.
