As Jim Schlossnagle puts his mark on the Texas Longhorns baseball program he just took over, Director of Player Development Troy Tulowitzki revealed on Wednesday that he’s not remaining on Schlossnagle’s staff.
The 13-year Major League veteran, five-time All-Star, and two-time Golden Glove winner initially joined David Pierce’s staff in 2019 after retiring from professional baseball and quickly earned a reputation for developing infielders and hitters over three seasons as an assistant, eventually drawing consideration for the USC head coaching position in 2022, at which point Tulowitzki decided to take a step back from his blossoming coaching career.
