Track & Field’s Daniels highlights first day of Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa – Former University of Texas sprinter Teahna Daniels highlighted day one of the 2019 Toyota United States Track & Field (USATF) Outdoor Championships for the Longhorns, as she ran an 11.30 in the first round of the women's 100-meter dash to win her heat and secure her spot in Friday's semifinal round.

Daniels, an Orlando, Fla. native, has been successful in a number of international races after wrapping up her collegiate career last month. So far this summer, she claimed gold in the U23 100-meter dash with an 11.03 mark at the NACAC Championships in Queretaro, Mexico.
