FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Texas Track & Field knew it would face some of its toughest competition of the season this weekend at the Tyson Invitational, and the Longhorns came to play on Friday night with a trio of wins and some of the best marks in the NCAA so far this season.
The biggest victory of the day came from junior Steffin McCarter in the invitational section of the men's long jump. McCarter and sophomore O'Brien Wasome were up against some of the top jumpers in the nation on Friday night and it was McCarter who came away victorious and with one of the best jumps this year.
