AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Track & Field opened the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds with a trio of NCAA-qualifying performances in field events while the Longhorns also took care of business in the first round of running events.
After getting two of three female student-athletes in field events through to the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon, and one male in the long jump, Texas advanced five of its eight women in running events.
