Track and Field wins three events on final day of Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas closed out the fourth and final day of the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays presented by Truist with three event wins.

Sophomore Akala Garrett recorded a massive personal best after posting a barely wind-aided time of 12.75 in the 100-meter hurdles. Leading into the final, Garrett's personal best was 13.23. Garrett closed the weekend as a two-time Texas Relays champion after winning the 400-meter hurdles invitational in 55.49.

Junior Kendrick Smallwood also recorded a big personal best in the 110-meter hurdles at 13.07w. Smallwood also broke the program record in the prelims with a wind-legal time of 13.
