FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Texas Track and Field legend Ryan Crouser broke the indoor shot put world record on Sunday at the American Track League meet held at the Randal Tyson Track Center. Crouser broke the record on his first attempt, launching the orb 22.82m/74-10.5 – a full 6.25 inches further than Randy Barnes' 1989 world-record mark.
The 2016 Olympic gold medalist outdoors, Crouser also had throws of 22.70m/74-5.75 (No. 2 throw all-time indoors), 22.48m/73-9 and 21.03m/69-0 on Sunday in Fayetteville. In addition to his Sunday exploits indoors, Crouser also ranks third all-time on the men's outdoor shot put list at 22.
