Texas picked up a key 2016 recruit when Arlington Bowie offensive lineman Tope Imade committed to the Longhorns.
Imade is a three-star guard. He is the 44th rated guard and the No. 121 ranked prospect in the state according to 247Sports Composite. Imade is a load at 6-foot-5 and 327 pounds.
He had offers from Miami, Michigan, Kansas State, Washington and Texas Tech.
Charlie Strong and Joe Wickline haven’t had much luck landing commitments from lineman. Once Chris Owens pledged to Alabama, the Texas coaches had to start looking for alternatives.
