AUSTIN -- Texas coach Tom Herman revealed some significant injury news for the Longhorns during his weekly press conference on Monday.
Junior linebacker Malcolm Roach, who was injured in the first half of the Longhorns' win over USC on Saturday night and was confined to crutches and a boot, has a fractured foot and will undergo surgery on Wednesday. Roach is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks.
"We'll have to plug in, not only and make up for his production and play on the field but his leadership as well," Herman said. "That's what we train for."
Freshman Joseph Ossai is currently listed as Roach's backup on Texas' depth chart.
