For the 19th time, the All-American Bowl, formerly sponsored by the US Army, will kick off on Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
While past editions have featured Texas standouts like Vince Young, this year’s edition will feature three Longhorns — Cuero wide receiver Jordan Whittington (West, No. 13), Westlake (Cali.) Westlake Village linebacker De’Gabriel Floyd (West, No. 10), and Plano East safety Tyler Owens (West, No. 19).
All three players have been standouts during practice, sparking speculation that all three are in line for starting roles on Saturday.
At this point in the process, there’s no much new to say about these players, but it is always heartening to see future Texas players excel against the nation’s best competition.
