AUSTIN, Texas — Thirty current or former University of Texas athletes have earned spots on their home countries' Olympic teams, and seven coaches with ties to UT Athletics also will participate in the upcoming Olympic Games. The 30 athletes competing sets a record for the largest delegation that The University of Texas has sent to an Olympics, topping the previous best of 29 athletes at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Texas ranks eighth among NCAA Division I schools in number of athletes competing in the Paris Olympics. A total of 14 athletes and three coaches with ties to The University of Texas will represent Team USA in Paris.
