The Texas injury situation hasn’t changed ahead of season opener

AUSTIN, Texas — During a Thursday evening media availability following practice, Texas Longhorns head coach Tom Herman revealed the best possible news for his team’s injury situation heading into Saturday’s season opener against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogsit hasn’t changed since his update on Monday.

That means that junior running back Daniel Young (high ankle sprain), senior running back Kirk Johnson (shoulder), and redshirt freshman offensive tackle Reese Moore will miss the game.

The even better news? Sophomore running back Keaontay Ingram has been practicing recently and made a couple of cuts on Wednesday that let Herman knows that he’s back fully healthy and playing with full confidence in his knee.
