Austin, Texas – Austin-based soul dynamos, The Nightowls, will join the Longhorn Pep Band for a special halftime performance of their song "Get Up!" at the Texas Longhorns Men's Basketball Big 12 matchup vs. Iowa State on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 8 p.m. (presented by Marsh & McLennan Agency).
Formed in 2011, the high energy 10-piece band was dubbed "Austin's Soul Royalty" by Do512 and in 2014 made the Best New Bands list in the annual Austin Chronicle Music Awards. Their debut album "Good as Gold" was described as "a smooth addictive blend of pop, R&B and funk that will delight the band's dance-happy fans" by Texas Music Magazine.
