Well, that’s at least the situation surrounding the Texas Longhorns and their placement in the College Football Playoff rankings. After entering the weekend ranked No. 15 and proceeding to knock off No. 18 Iowa State, 24-10, the Longhorns improved one spot to No. 14 in the updated playoff rankings, which were announced on Tuesday evening.
The Longhorns remain ranked behind a pair of Big 12 foes, as West Virginia (8-2, 6-2) came in at No. 13. Oklahoma was slotted just outside of the playoff pool entering the final week of the regular season, with the Sooners sitting at No.
