The Longhorn Republic has praise for the defense

The Texas Longhorns started slow defensively but managed to close the game out strong and put the Kansas State Wildcats’ offense on its heels for the majority of the second half. Adjustments by defensive coordinator Todd Orlando and outstanding individual efforts by defenders put Texas in position to win.

Offensively, the Longhorns found their stride on the ground, with Keaontay Ingram putting up career numbers, propelling the offense, while Collin Johnson found space behind the defense thanks to the RPO schemes. Texas may have found a bit of its identity offensively as they enter the critical fourth quarter of the season.
