The Texas Longhorns held their annual alumni baseball game Saturday afternoon at Disch-Falk Field in Austin. It was the first look at new manager David Pierce in a live game setting.
It was also the first look at changes to the dimensions at Disch-Falk Field. One of Pierce’s priorities was moving in the outfield fences to create more home run opportunities.
Current Longhorn Bret Boswell took advantage with a Home Run in the second inning. Then, former Longhorn and current MLB player Drew Stubbs homered in the third inning.
Overall, there was plenty of offense from the current Longhorns, who won the alumni game by a wide margin.
