ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Longhorns junior wide receiver Xavier Worthy left Saturday’s Big 12 Championship game at AT&T Stadium early in the fourth quarter after suffering a left ankle injury on a 10-yard catch. Worthy received medical attention on the sideline before receiving help hobbling off the field and into the Texas locker room.
The 6’1, 172-pounder made it back onto the turf in Arlington before the final whistle with his left foot in a walking boot and on crutches.
