HOUSTON — When the Texas Longhorns kick off against the Rice Owls on Saturday evening at NRG Stadium, the offense will be without senior wide receiver Collin Johnson, who will miss the game with a hamstring injury, according to school officials.
Johnson said this week that his hamstring was bothering him against LSU last weekend and it’s not healed enough for the medical staff to clear him against Rice. Through two games, Johnson has seven catches for 108 yards and one touchdown as opponents have often devoted a safety to bracket Johnson on the outside or rolled coverage in his direction.
